On August 21, the battery network was informed that on the 20th, the second phase of the AVIC lithium battery research base project was successfully capped. The project has a total investment of 400 million yuan and broke ground on April 8.

It is reported that after the completion of the second phase of the AVIC lithium battery research base project, it will have systematic product system evaluation, sample research and development, process optimization, new technology development and other functions, in order to accelerate the development of new battery systems and products with high safety and high specific energy. Provide strong support to better meet customer project needs.

In terms of technology research and development, AVIC Lithium currently has ten major scientific research and innovation platforms, including \"National Enterprise Technology Center\", \"Academician Workstation\" and \"Postdoctoral Research Workstation\", to build and continuously improve material development and product reliability. Seven innovative experimental platforms, including testing, product safety testing, manufacturing technology development, product trial production, physical and chemical analysis, and product electrical performance testing, serve the entire series of lithium battery development, trial production, analysis and evaluation systems.

In addition, on July 17th, Battery Net learned that AVIC Lithium was established in 2007 with a registered capital of 7 billion yuan and more than 5,500 employees. It specializes in the research and development and production of lithium-ion power batteries and power management systems. It now owns Changzhou. , Luoyang two major production bases, Xiamen production base is under construction, the three bases are planned to form a total annual production capacity of 12 billion watt-hour lithium-ion power batteries.

On June 10 this year, the capping ceremony of the A6 project of AVIC Lithium Battery Xiamen Base was held in Xiamen. Xiamen is another core industrial base built by AVIC Lithium after Luoyang and Changzhou. It is an important measure to expand the global layout and implement strategic planning. The total investment of the project is 10 billion yuan, and the planned total production capacity is 20GWh. The first phase (A6 project) is scheduled to be put into operation in the fourth quarter of 2020.

In terms of installed capacity, in the first half of 2020, AVIC Lithium Battery will again exert its strength in the new energy passenger vehicle market. The installed capacity of power batteries is 0.79GWh, which accounts for 4.35% of the total installed capacity in the domestic power battery market. The 7th place in the first half of the year rose to 4th.
